Guam

Guam was declared rabies free more than 20 years ago. Guam officials want to ensure the disease does not return to the island and have established strict policies on importing dogs, cats, as well as other animals.

Title 10 Guam Code Annotated Chapter 34 Article 3 governs importation of dogs, cats and other carnivores into Guam. This law states that these animals are required to complete a 120-day confinement in an approved Commercial Quarantine Facility. If specific pre-arrival and post-arrival requirements are met, animals may qualify for an alternate 30-day quarantine. Please contact the Guam Department of Agriculture at least 90 days prior to intended date of importation to satisfy all entry requirements based on your animal's entry status.Below are summaries of the two programs.
